Will Rashford play against Wolves?
DefiantRuben Amorim, Manchester United’s head coach, believes Marcus Rashford’s absence is not a hindrance and is confident in his ability to maximize the forward’s potential and turn the club around.
Rashford, United’s homegrown sensation, has been left out of the matchday squad for the past three games.
The 27-year-old fueled rumors by confessing in a midweek interview that he was “ready for a new challenge,” keeping the England international in the spotlight ahead of the Boxing Day trip to Wolves.
“Normal situation,” Amorim stated. “When I believe the time is perfect, I will make a shift. Until then, I’ll continue to consider what’s best for the team.
“I speak to him every day. Focus on your performance rather than the interview.
Amorim stated that Rashford “wants to play, he is trying,” but “it’s my decision, only my decision.”
“I spoke with a lot of players – individually and during training – so I’m trying to do things my way,” said the newly hired head coach. “And this is the only method I know.
“If I don’t do it, I will lose myself, but I will not lose myself. “I understand what I’m doing.”

Amorim: Storm has arrived, but Manchester United will fulfill destiny.
Manchester United’s head coach, Ruben Amorim, acknowledges the club’s current struggles, but is optimistic about its future.
Sunday’s 3-0 setback to Bournemouth was Amroim’s third defeat in four Premier League games since taking over, and United will spend Christmas in 13th place.
Marcus Rashford’s future is also questionable, since he has missed the previous three matchday squads for Manchester United.
When asked about the arrival of the storm, Amorim said, “A little bit, yeah.” I understand that this is a tough time for everyone here at Manchester United. You can sense it in the stadium: the support and the tension.
Can Pereira capture a scalp in his first home game?
Pereira has been in charge of Wolves for less than a week, having replaced Gary O’Neil, and will have limited time on the training ground to work with his new squad owing to the Premier League’s tight Christmas match calendar.
However, the well-traveled former Porto, Olympiacos, Fenerbahce, and Al Shabab manager maintains that he does not need much time to have Wolves playing the way he wants.
He continued, “We will enhance possession and defensive organisation. I only need a few weeks, not much time, to get this team playing the way I want, because I know what I want.
“They’re receptive to this type of play. I want to experiment with quality. Football is more than just outcomes; it must be a beautiful game.
“Our plan is to work, work, and work. I understand that working is one approach to raise your level. Making errors, correcting and working through them, and instilling confidence in the players.”
Guedes struggled to get Premier League starts under former head coach O’Neil, making only his second start of the season after Pereira arrived.
On Sunday, the attacker returned his new boss’s confidence by scoring the opening goal and assisting Cunha.
Pereira believes he can give the former Valencia player the confidence he needs to succeed.
“I can give him confidence, for sure,” he assured me. “I can improve their tactical skills, and they must understand that in order to play with me, they must run, battle, and work for the team rather than just for themselves.
“For him and everyone, I want the players to be themselves while also working for the team. Simple.”
Pereira expects Amorim to flourish at United.
New Wolves coach Vitor Pereira believes Manchester United’s Ruben Amorim can succeed in the Premier League ahead of their Boxing Day match at Molineux.
Wolves’ new manager, Pereira, began his tenure with a 3-0 win over Leicester City, due to goals from Gonzalo Guedes, Rodrigo Gomes, and Matheus Cunha in the first half.
Since the appointment of 39-year-old Amorim last month, the Red Devils have had ups and downs, including a heavy loss at home to Bournemouth on Sunday after a triumph over Manchester City.
Pereira said that it took him a while to break into the English top division owing to “bad steps” in his career, but he is now looking forward to the challenge and the confrontation with compatriot Amorim, who he believes will make an impact at United.
“We never played against each other because I am a lot older,” 56-year-old Pereira explained.
“I spent a long time to get here (in England) because I made some stupid decisions in my work and lost possibilities to come sooner.
“Amorim is the new generation of Portuguese coach with a lot of talent and communication, tactical, strategical talent and I believe he will do a very good work in the Premier League.”
