Update emerges over Narcis Pelach’s Stoke City position amid dismal form

According to Fraser Fletcher, Stoke City’s manager, Narcis Pelach, is facing criticism from the board due to the team’s recent poor performance.

Stoke City is having a horrible season. Since being relegated from the Premier League seven years ago, the club has battled to rediscover its footing.

Since their relegation, the Potters have had eight managers, the latest being Narcis Pelach. They’ve been locked in a never-ending cycle of disappointing bottom-half finishes, and they’re about to face another one this season.

Pelach is reportedly already fighting for his job.

According to TEAMtalk reporter Fraser Fletcher, the Stoke City boss is already facing pressure.

According to Fletcher, the club’s general feeling is that the upcoming week is critical for Pelach’s future, despite the fact that he is just 18 games into his reign.

This is his first full-time management position in English football, having previously served as an assistant manager at Norwich City and Huddersfield Town.

Pelach’s upcoming matchups do not bode well.Stoke City’s upcoming three games are quite challenging.

During the festive season, they will face Leeds United, Sunderland, and Burnley, who are presently ranked second, third, and fourth in the Premier League table, respectively.

The Potters have only scored four points in their last eight games, remaining winless throughout that time. It’s difficult to see where Pelach’s team will pick up points during that stretch, with all three opponents in excellent form.

How does he compare to previous managers?

Since returning to the Championship, Stoke City has had an average of one manager each season. But, with Pelach’s time in danger of being cut short, how does he stack up against his predecessors?

Pelach, along with Nathan Jones, has the second-lowest points per game average of 0.89 points. Jones played 20 more games than Pelach, but it is not a record to be proud of for the Spaniard.

Only Paul Lambert had a worse record, with 0.87 points from 15 games.

Interestingly, the man he replaced, Steven Schumacher, leads the way, averaging 1.42 points in 32 games. Perhaps this indicates that the club’s hierarchy made a terrible judgement by letting him go.
