“He’s talented” Norwich City eye free transfer move for 27-year-old.
Norwich City are interested in signing Haugesund goalkeeper Egil Selvik, according to reporter Alan Nixon on Patreon.
Norwich City are interested in signing the stopper this winter, as his contract expires later this month. As of now, he is scheduled to become a free agent on December 31st.
Selvik, 27, is a Norwegian international with four caps to date. He has been with Haugesund since 2021 and has risen to the top of the team’s rankings in the last three years.
According to journalist Nixon’s Patreon post, the Canaries are interested in signing him for free in the next weeks to strengthen their goalkeeping team.
Johannes Hoff Thorup’s side now sits 13th in the Championship table, nine points behind the play-offs.

Selvik might improve Norwich City’s goalkeeping department by providing competition and depth.
If he switched to Carrow Road, he’d compete with Angus Gunn and George Long for the Canaries’ position between the sticks.
To date, the Sandnes native has appeared in 120 Haugesund games across all competitions.
They finished 14th out of 16 clubs in the most recent season.
Selvik began his career at Ganddal IL and Sandnes Ulf before making three appearances for the latter’s main squad as a youth.
He was also rented out to Nest-Sotra to gain practical experience.
Odd hired him in 2019, and he stayed with them for a few years before leaving.

Moving to Norwich City would provide Selvik with a new challenge.

On Boxing Day, they face Millwall at home, hoping to resume their winning streak. Their forthcoming opponents are looking for a new manager.
