The Las Vegas Raiders, gearing up for Sunday, will need all the support they can get. Here is an updated injury report.
The Las Vegas Raiders face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, but they’ll need all the help they can get. The Raiders may feel a little better about their current situation heading into Thursday’s practice and the next day.
Alexander Mattison, who has been suffering with neck issues, returned to full participation in Thursday’s practice. Mattison must make his way to the field, as the Raiders’ running game has been awful all season. Every man who can run the ball should seek to receive some time, and given the injuries, Mattison appears to be prepared for Sunday, barring any changes before then.
Jordan Meredith has been a major blow to the Raiders’ injury report in two consecutive days. Meredith has been suffering with an ankle ailment, which has kept him out of practice yesterday and today. Could Meredith be the next Raider to succumb to the season-long injury bug?
Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers’ participation on the practice pitch remains unchanged. Meyers had little practice yesterday, and the same thing happened again on Thursday. It is unclear whether Meyers will compete on Sunday, but it would be a huge disappointment if he is unable to make it to the pitch.
Quarterback Aidan O’Connell and Monday Night Football starter Desmond Ridder both practiced fully yesterday and Thursday. O’Connell is battling with a nagging knee injury that sidelined him early two weeks ago, and Ridder has been making sure his hip isn’t bothering him in case he needs to start again against Jacksonville.
Sam Webb’s fate during practice remained unchanged from either practice. The cornerback has been struggling with back pain since Monday and has seen minimal action in both practices.
As we approach closer to Sunday’s game against the Jaguars, the Raiders have improved in certain areas while plateauing in others. The Raiders, who have been cleared to compete, will bring their A-game for their fallen teammates in an attempt to win their third game of the season.
