‘We expect something to happen’ – Striker’s agent talks January move after Town links
Middlesbrough striker Emmanuel Latte Lath is anticipated to attract transfer interest in January, following a rejected deal from Ipswich Town in the summer.
On deadline day, the Blues made an exceptional bid to sign the 25-year-old striker. However, it was rejected since there was not time to locate a successor.
His agent, Matthias Veneroso, stated that ‘Ipswich made the large offer’. He said that it was a confusing period because it was such a big offer that needed attention from everyone. That’s why he was unable to travel to Cardiff with the rest of the team.
“But, in the end, the club determined that they couldn’t sell the player since they couldn’t go the entire season with only one striker. “That was the club’s final decision.”
That could all change next month, though, as Veneroso feels his client will most likely be moving.
“He is back to scoring. He told TuttoMercatoWeb, “We expect something to happen in January after scoring eight goals in the first half of the Championship.””He is an attacker and the attackers are always the object of attention in the January market.”
Latte Lath has eight goals and two assists in 21 Championship games this season, but only 14 have come as starters due to the form of 22-year-old Tommy Conway.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio, West Ham dispatched scouts to witness Middlesbrough’s game at Oxford United in November, perhaps leading to the attacker’s departure.Latte Lath scored a hat trick and assisted in the first half of that game, which finished in a 6-2 victory for his team.
The Blues are set to sign another striker in January, with George Hirst out injured and Ali Al-Hamadi adjusting to Premier League life despite loan interest from the Championship. It’s unclear if they would seek the Ivory Coast international again.
