Vitor Pereira’s move to Wolves edges closer as key contract detail emerges
The Wolves board hoped Gary O’Neil might improve things, but ultimately chose to make a change.
Some Wolves fans believe O’Neil was fired weeks too late, with many calling for his removal following the August defeat to Brentford.
Wolves have made significant progress since O’Neil’s dismissal. Wolves reached an agreement with Vitor Pereira, who will take over shortly.
Rudy Galetti has stated that Pereira’s transfer to the Wolves is almost complete.
And there is word that he will sign a contract with Molineux.
According to Galetti, the contract between Vitor Pereira and the Wolves is set to last one year and a half, until June 2026.
Some speculated that Pereira may have just signed a deal until the end of the season, given Wolves’ Premier League membership is currently under threat.
The contract suggests that he may remain as Wolves manager even if the club gets relegated, however there could be a clause in place.
Wolves fans are enthusiastic about a new chapter, but Pereira has a lot of work to do at the club to ensure safety.
And his success may be heavily influenced by how effectively he is supported in January.
