Welcome to your Tuesday morning round-up of the freshest Premier League transfer rumours – and we’re going to kick today’s digest off with a story which has sprung up from Leicester City.
TeamTalk have revealed that the Foxes are interested in making a move for Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson, who has been linked with a host of top clubs but has been struggling for form and fitness.
Ferguson is now likely to be made available for loan by Seagulls manager Fabian Hürzeler in January and Leicester – who are set to back new head coach Ruud van Nistelrooy financially in the winter – are among those leading the chase. West Ham United could be keen, too.
The 3AM Verdict: Ferguson’s star has certainly fallen a little lately and rumours of a big-money move have all gone quiet. A loan move might allow him to recapture some form and confidence, at least. Whether there’s any chance that such a move could be permanent isn’t stated in the report, but it seems highly improbable, especially for a team like Leicester who are threatened with relegation.
Arsenal man asks agents to get him out
There has been a fair amount of speculation in the Italian press of late concerning the future of Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior, and now TuttomercatoWeb are reporting that the Poland international has asked his agents to “find him a new team” – and they are hoping to arrange a meeting with Napoli head coach Antonio Conte.
The Neapolitan side have been repeatedly connected to Kiwior and it seems unlikely that Mikel Arteta would stand in his way. Conte, according to the article, wants the 24-year-old on a permanent deal rather than on a loan.
