“Expect something to happen” – Middlesbrough player’s agent on January transfer window, could leave Michael Carrick’s side

Middlesbrough star Emmanuel Latte Lath might depart the Riverside Stadium in the winter transfer window.

Matthias Veneroso, the striker’s agent, confirmed this during a discussion with TuttoMercatoWeb.

Emmanuel Latte Lath has impressed for Middlesbrough this season, scoring eight goals and providing two assists in 21 Championship games.

On November 25th, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported that West Ham United dispatched a scout to witness the 25-year-old in action against Oxford United. He also stated that the player is ready to depart Michael Carrick’s side in January.

The Ivory Coast international’s agent has now said that he anticipates developments regarding the striker’s future with Boro.

“He is back to scoring. Eight goals in the first half of the tournament, and we expect something to happen in January. “He is a striker, and strikers are always the subject of attention in the January transfer window,” he explained.

This should be good news for the Hammers, should they want to sign him in January.

Emmanuel Latte Lath joined Middlesbrough from Atalanta in August 2023 and signed a contract until 2027, with an option for an additional year. His counsel has not discussed probable destinations in the following window.

In May, Veneroso discussed his client’s potential departure from the English club during the summer transfer window, but no agreement was reached.
