‘Work in progress’ – Director requests manager to sign key West Ham player, Hammers could block exit

Emerson Palmieri has been a mainstay since the beginning of the previous season since joining West Ham United from Chelsea in August 2022.

The left-back has played in all of the Hammers’ Premier League games this season, and it seems that some supporters have taken notice of his performances.

Juventus has set their sights on the West Ham star, according to reports from JuventusLive.it, at least.

The 30-year-old has become the Serie A team’s aim and is reportedly a “cornerstone” of the Hammers’ current ambition. Thiago Motta, the manager of Juventus, is primarily to blame for this.

He’s asked the club’s management, led by technical director Cristiano Giuntoli, to find out the possibility of securing Emerson’s services and the player’s willingness to join Juve.

JuveLive.it say it’s a ‘work in progress’.

The fullback’s contract lasts until 2026 and Julen Lopetegui’s side have an option to extend it for another year.

Despite Motta requesting the Brazil-born Italy international, West Ham could block their attempts to secure his services.
