Despite their illnesses and injuries, Tyrhys Dolan and Andi Weimann volunteered to be on the Blackburn Rovers bench, according to John Eustace.
Weimann was initially predicted to miss at least three weeks owing to a knee issue, however he made an early comeback to the matchday squad. Like Dolan, he was unused, but after ten minutes of training, he raised his hand because of other absences.
The same may apply to Dolan, who refrained from attending Brockhall on Friday in order to prevent the spread of his ailment. Callum Brittain did not attend since he was also feeling ill.
“Andi hasn’t trained at all apart from the last two days, he hasn’t even been with the group,” Eustace stated.
He indicated he would utilise the bench if necessary during his ten minutes on the grass yesterday because it was light.
“Ty Dolan was absent from the training pitch yesterday due to a cold. He told me he was prepared to go on the bench if necessary when I woke up this morning.
That demonstrates how dedicated and professional the boys are being. No one wants to leave the team, but we need them; I believe we’ve utilised twenty-five players.
“After 46 games, it’s clear that they all understand their roles and perform them well. We have the most goals from substitutes, so everyone will be used. At the club, everyone fights for one another and there are no egos.
