BIG MATCH BUILD-UP Wolves v Ipswich Town: Harry Redknapp’s prediction.
Premier League icon turned pundit Harry Redknapp has made his prediction for today’s important bottom-of-the-table showdown between Wolves and Ipswich Town (3pm). Kieran McKenna’s squad travels to Wolves, who are halfway down the table, hoping to recover from three consecutive defeats. Wolves are also on a three-game losing skid and have conceded a league-high 38 goals, putting manager Gary O’Neil under significant pressure. That was heightened by a loss to fellow strugglers West Ham on Monday night, dubbed ‘El Sackico’ due to the strain on both managers prior to the game.
But Redknapp feels Wolves will secure a crucial victory today. Predicting a 2-1 home win, he told BetVictor: “This is a huge game for Gary O’Neil. Again, I feel like I’ve said it before, but they weren’t all that horrible in the defeat to West Ham. “They had a few opportunities and decisions that didn’t go their way. “Ipswich keeps making the same mistakes.” They’ve dropped a lot of points from strong situations this season, and I’m not sure why. “It must be a source of concern for Kieran McKenna; it is almost certainly psychological at this point. “I just think Wolves should have too much quality here.”
