The two Leicester City stars Ruud van Nistelrooy is going to focus his team around—neither is Jamie Vardy

This weekend marks Ruud van Nistelrooy’s third appearance as Leicester City’s manager.

The Foxes will try to maintain their undefeated start under the Dutchman when they go to Newcastle United on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Before masterminding a comeback from a 2-0 deficit to salvage a draw against Brighton & Hove Albion the previous time out, Ruud van Nistelrooy led the team to a 3-1 victory over West Ham on December 3.

The former Manchester United player has had a good start at the King Power Stadium, but Leicester City still has a lot of work to do if they want to stay in the league.

Even though Newcastle hasn’t played well this season, any team, especially one that is only five points above the relegation zone and leaks goals, finds it difficult to travel to St. James Park.

The Foxes will also need to start playing consistently well in the upcoming weeks due to games against Manchester City and Liverpool later this month, and Ruud is aware of which players can assist them achieve this.

In his few appearances under his new management this month, Ndidi has performed admirably.

Van Nistelrooy delivered an injury update on Ndidi in his pre-Newcastle press conference, revealing he will be out for a ‘couple of weeks’.

Given that Boubakary Soumare is also suspended for the match against Newcastle, Oliver Skipp and Hamza Choudhury are expected to start.
