Leeds plans to sign a “out-and-out striker” in January in place of Louie Barry

According to a fresh source, Leeds United is hoping to recruit a “out-and-out striker” in January rather than Louie Barry, who was previously connected to the team.
Under Farke, Leeds’ outstanding Elland Road performance continues.

With Tuesday’s 2-0 victory against Middlesbrough marking their eighth straight home win in the second division, the Whites are turning Elland Road into a fortress during the current Championship campaign under Daniel Farke.
“It was a complicated game for me because they play with so many principles and processes,” Farke said following the victory over Boro. To alter our location and structure, you must always be turned on. I found it to be one of the most draining games of the season, therefore I was thrilled to see us win.

However, given the team’s recent 1-0 losses to Millwall and Blackburn Rovers, Farke will seek to improve the team’s away performance. After the playoff heartbreak at Wembley last season, Leeds will have a genuine chance to clinch automatic promotion back to the Premier League if that improves.
Leeds’ pursuit of the top two could also be aided by the January transfer window, and Aston Villa attacker Barry, who is presently playing brilliantly on loan at Stockport County in League One, has been suggested as a target.

With Joe Gelhardt and Patrick Bamford both rumored to be leaving in 2025, Leeds is reportedly vying with teams like Middlesbrough to sign Barry on loan for the rest of the season. But based on a recent update, it doesn’t seem like Barry is a top target.Leeds’ latest transfer news about acquiring a new striker

In fact, Leeds wants to recruit a “out-and-out striker” in January rather than Barry, who they consider to be more of a winger, according to Football Insider reporter Pete O’Rourke. Since Wilfried Gnonto, Manor Solomon, Dan James, and Largie Ramazani can already play on the wing, the Whites are concentrating on other possibilities.
With Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph splitting the load thus far this season, Farke will have Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph as his striking alternatives if either or both of Gelhardt and Bamford depart in the new year.

Compared to Joseph, who has two goals and three assists, Piroe has scored seven goals and provided three assists, making him the more prolific scorer. In the second division, both forwards have made 20 appearances, and players like James, Brenden Aaronson, and Gnonto have also scored goals.

Although O’Rourke doesn’t identify any individual strikers, it appears that this is a position to keep an eye on during the upcoming weeks of the January transfer window.
