Auston Trusty makes ‘angry’ Celtic claim after responding to Peter Schmeichel’s question

Auston Trusty is settling in well in Celtic hues.

The 26-year-old joined the Scottish champions in the summer with a good reputation after coming through at Arsenal and playing for Sheffield United in the Premier League.

In the present, Trusty has taken over the starting slot from Liam Scales, despite the Irishman’s lack of mistakes.

Celtic’s strong team under Brendan Rodgers is a result of this business reality.

It has been demonstrated in the Champions League this season, with Rodgers leading the squad to nine points and two consecutive clean sheets away from home.

Celtic’s goalless draw against Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday elicited conflicting reactions from fans.

Trusty shares similar sentiments with Celtic fans.

Auston Trusty thinks Celtic are ‘mad’ that they didn’t beat Dinamo Zagreb.

Trusty played the entire match in Croatia’s capital and had little defensive responsibility as the away team dominated possession.

However, the Bhoys did not talk enough with the ball and cannot complain too much about not scoring.

Trusty said to the great keeper Peter Schmeichel that he is ‘mad’ Celtic did not win, but knows the difficulty of playing on the road in Europe, as reported by CBS Sports.

Peter enquired: “Another clean sheet away from home in the Champions League. Another point won; you now have nine points. “How do you evaluate Dinamo Zagreb’s performance?”

“To get a point away from home in the Champions League, you can’t take that for granted,” Trusty said.

“We’ll look back on this game and be a little upset that we didn’t come here and get three points. I believe we should have. I believe we needed to create a few more chances. We need to learn from it.”

Trusty praises Celtic’s grit in the Champions League following Borussia Dortmund’s battering.

Celtic suffered a seven-goal defeat against Borussia Dortmund on matchday two of the Champions League, causing morale issues.

It was a nightmarish start, and many people were worried that past problems would resurface.

But fast forward to the present, and Celtic have maintained two consecutive road clean sheets, leaving Peter Schmeichel wondering what transpired.

Peter also enquired: “Your first away game was in Dortmund, and you conceded seven goals. Since then, you have had two clean sheets. What was the difference between that game and these two away games you’ve played?

Trusty continued, “That was simply an off-game for us. It was one of those days when you simply forgot about it and moved on.

“It demonstrates the true character of the team to be at such a low point in the Champions League and then recover. Not many teams can do it, therefore it reveals a lot about the team. We were able to recover, go forward, and achieve better results.
