Celtic supporter ‘stabbed in Zagreb’ as another ‘hit & put in humiliating position’

According to Zagreb police, several young people were arrested in connection with purported events involving Celtic fans.

After learning of many incidents, Parkhead club management had advised supporters to exercise caution if they were planning to travel to Croatia for the Champions League games. Before the match, Celtic supporters received a second warning for wearing their colors out of concern that rival fans could target them.

In response to reports of events involving Celtic supporters, the Zagreb Police Administration has now released a statement. Two Celtic fans were hurt in two allegedly related events within 30 minutes at around 10 p.m., prompting Zagreb police to file a special report with the Municipal Criminal State Attorney’s Office for Juveniles.

First, six minors were the subject of an investigation due to allegations of grievous bodily injury and attempted robbery. A 38-year-old man from Britain was allegedly stabbed in the fist with an unidentified sharp instrument, physically assaulted, and threatened with death.
