Birmingham City set for huge away following after yet another sellout.

You can be sure that Birmingham City supporters have once again sold out an away game in grand fashion.

All 1,350 tickets for tonight’s journey to St. James Park have been sold, and the Blues will be joined by a packed away end at Exeter City.

Birmingham’s ridiculously remarkable away support is still going strong, as over a thousand individuals endure the eight-hour round trip.

The fact that it is a chilly midweek match in December and that the fixture isn’t even in League One only serves to highlight how admirable it is. The EFL Trophy is, if anything, the Blues’ least significant competition this year.

However, bluenoses don’t care because they will still be visible rain or shine. With the Blues winning their previous three away games, manager Chris Davies is incredibly grateful for the support, and the players are definitely feeling the effects. If Birmingham wins, they go to the tournament’s round of 16, and those travelling to Exeter will be hoping that winning streak can continue. Even though it’s not the main event, the EFL Trophy offers a fantastic opportunity for a happy cup run, and after all, cutlery is cutlery.

It would also be a lot of fun to visit Wembley, as it would be the Blues’ first visit to the football stadium since 2011. Birmingham defeated Arsenal to win the League Cup and earn a spot in Europe, making that day one of the club’s greatest in history.

A trophy would be the icing on the cake, but togetherness has already returned to the Blues.
