BBC Sports Score Predictions: Brizzle in the Tuesday evening drizzle.
The Lads ground out a win against Stoke in a stormy SOL on Saturday — can we get on a winning run by beating Bristol City tonight?
Last time out…
Sunderland triumphed in horrendous conditions in the early kick-off on Saturday, defeating Stoke City by two goals to one in a game that could have easily been five or six for us and a couple more for them. Young Tom Watson was the star of the show, scoring both goals in a spectacular effort down the left flank; if others had been as good, we could (and perhaps should) have won the game much sooner.

Tonight, we face the City mix of Bristolians, who were thrashed 3-0 at Pompey the weekend. Regis will undoubtedly urge the lads to capitalise on our hard-earned victory during Storm Darragh to begin a winning streak rather than restarting a drawing one.‘The Champion’ Martin Wanless predicts…
Score prediction: Sunderland 2 Bristol City 0
Sunderland’s first goalscorer: Watson
The overwhelming emotion on Saturday was relief, which is weird given that it might have been 6 or 7 and Stoke would not have complained, but we were eager for the three points. Hopefully, that kickstarts things again and we achieve something close to a normal home win tonight. Tommy Watson could have had a hat trick on Saturday and will be looking to add to his double.

Score prediction: Sunderland 3 Bristol City 0
Sunderland’’s first goalscorer: Jobe
The hoodoo has been broken, and we should have scored a slew of chances last weekend but did not. Bristol is both hot and cold, and if we can catch them on a frigid night in the northeast, we will be able to win two games in a row and begin our run. Jobe hasn’t had much luck lately, but with Bristol City visiting, I believe he can assist the attack as we know he can and thump a belter in from 25 yards to set us up for a straightforward win.
