Huge ticket allocation revealed with Sheffield Wednesday set for biggest away day so far
After Michael Smith’s equaliser at Hillsborough gave Danny Röhl’s team a point on a challenging afternoon, the first game between Wednesday and the Lilywhites is still fresh in the memory. However, they will be hoping for more on December 29th when they travel to Deepdale for their biggest away day of the season thus far.
The Owls have been confirmed to have received 5,716 tickets for this match, which is nearly twice as many as they were previously given in 2024–2025 (3,000 away at Coventry City). Many will be anxious to get their hands on them in the hopes of seeing a rematch of the 1-0 victory that occurred on the same day in 2023 last year.
Considering the number of tickets available, this might be one of the games that, unlike the most of them these days, actually go on sale on Thursday afternoon. At nine this morning, the first round of sales got underway.
As they look to cap off an exciting year, Wednesday fans, who have sold out their tickets numerous times across the nation in previous years, are anticipating this trip to be no different.
Meanwhile, it has already been reported that the Owls’ upcoming away games against Middlesbrough and Oxford United are sold out. Röhl’s team is set to start a schedule that will see them play seven games in 26 days.
