Fulham boss Marco Silva reminds Arsenal of weakness ahead of Premier League clash

Reminding everyone that Fulham used set pieces to defeat the Gunners last season, Marco Silva is not afraid of Arsenal’s attack.

The North Londoners further solidified their standing as experts at scoring goals from dead ball situations. They defeated Manchester United 2-0 on Wednesday night after scoring goals from two corners.

William Saliba and Jurrien Timber both benefited, boosting to Arsenal’s increasing total of goals from free kicks and corners. They have already breached Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham this term with set pieces; however, Fulham gave them a taste of their own medicine last term.

Their meeting at the Emirates finished 2-2 early in the season and then Fulham won 2-1 at Craven Cottage on New Year’s Eve – and Silva remembers how they used set pieces to their advantage.

Despite being compared to Stoke City during their tenure under Tony Pulis, Arsenal is currently celebrating its set piece success. Arteta has jokingly stated that the Gunners are OK with their current status and hope to become a jack of all crafts.
