Leeds official stance emerges as approach made to sign £4m+ striker

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United does not expect to conduct much business in January because of suggestions that they are interested in Dor Turgeman, a striker for Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Leeds has formally approached the 21-year-old forward, who is valued at over £4 million, to sign him, according to a December 4 announcement from the Israeli news outlet Sport5.

The YEP has since stated, however, that “Leeds’ official stance on incomings as well as outgoings” is that the winter transfer window won’t be very busy.

Dor Turgeman could be the addition Leeds United need

Although there has been much discussion about a quiet January transfer window at Elland Road, Daniel Farke, who wants to return his team to the Premier League this season, may find the signing of this teenage striker to be an alluring option.

At just 21 years old, the striker has made nine appearances in the Israeli Premier League so far this season, tallying five goals and two assists. He is regarded as a player with exceptional skill and room to grow.

Even though the Whites have scored a lot of goals and played well so far this season, they haven’t had a true number nine striker on the team to consistently score goals and perform at the highest level needed for promotion, so this move could undoubtedly aid the team in their pursuit of the top spot in the standings.
It seems sense that Farke doesn’t want to make too many moves in January, but if they can work out an agreement with Tel Aviv, you think this may be a wise move for the team both now and down the road.
