Arriving firefighters discovered a well-involved garage fire that was swiftly spreading throughout the property. According to fire department Public Relations Officer Ryan Blake, everyone inside the residence self-evacuated once the fire began.
The agency said that crews battled the fire for more than 16 hours. “The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Weston Fire Marshal, however based on the preliminary investigation it appears the fire began in the garage and was the result of frying a turkey,” according to the agency.
