Steve Bruce makes admission on lowest point as Blackpool boss following Birmingham City defeat
After being dissatisfied with the results of his starting lineup, the Seasiders head coach decided to make four alterations at the half of their FA Cup match against the Blues.
Bruce had a four-game winning streak after taking over as Blackpool manager at the beginning of September, but things have been far more difficult on the Fylde Coast in more recent times.

Following the defeat to Birmingham, Bruce admitted the opening 45 minutes was a low point for his team.
At halftime, we had the opportunity to make seven or eight changes. I don’t like how uninspired we are in a major cup tie. There aren’t any performances like that, but I’ll try my hardest.
“The disappointing thing for me is that we didn’t make it to a cup tie until the forty-fifth minute, and I haven’t seen that in us.” We have approached teams with a lot of aggression, but we respected Birmingham too much.
“We must improve on our performance in the first half, even though we know they are a strong team with talented players.”
Wednesday night marks Blackpool’s return to league play as they host Rotherham United after travelling to the Croud Meadow to play Shrewsbury Town.
