Ollie Arblaster and Ollie McBurnie praised Tom Davies after he scored the winner for Sheffield United against Sunderland in their big game on Friday night.

Sheffield United won a crucial game against Sunderland, who were also vying for promotion.

The truth is that they were second best for long stretches, particularly in the first half, but Cooper demonstrated his quality once more with a stunning save to deny Roberts from the spot.

The sending offs clearly impacted the game, and the second half was frenzied at moments.

Ultimately, Wilder’s side found a way to win, and the victory sent them to the top of the Championship, even if they would be replaced by Leeds United later on.

But it was a victory over a rival, and the atmosphere at Bramall Lane was electric, as supporters rallied behind the players, who were clearly giving their all on the pitch.

Of course, Wilder understands what it takes to be successful at this level, and he will want to capitalize on that relationship to keep the momentum going as they aim for a top-two finish this season.

Sheffield United will face West Brom at The Hawthorns next Saturday, but will be without suspended centre-backs Souttar and Anel Ahmedhodzic.
