‘Outstanding’ – Blackburn Rovers player praised by John Eustace for ‘really positive’ performance against Leeds United
After Blackburn Rovers defeated Leeds United over the weekend, manager John Eustace called Tyrhys Dolans “outstanding.”
Todd Cantwell, an offensive midfielder, scored the game-winning penalty kick to give Blackburn Rovers a 1-0 victory over the Whites at Ewood Park on Saturday.
The 22-year-old Dolan made another appearance for the home team and attracted attention as they went on to win by a commanding three points. As they get ready for their next games, they are in good form and have now won their last three straight games.
They are just two points out of the playoffs and now sit in eighth place in the Championship table.
According to the official club YouTube page, Eustace praised Dolan, saying: “I thought it was an outstanding performance, with and without the ball. Ty was really positive today.” We want more from him since he was so enthusiastic about driving at defenders. It was an inevitable punishment.
Blackburn Rovers man hailed
Dolan has had a good season so far for Blackburn Rovers and can cause problems to any opponents in the league.
He is out of contract at the end of the campaign and is due to become a free agent in June 2025 as things stand. It would be a massive blow if the Lancashire outfit lost him nothing.
Since joining his current team in 2020, the attacker has grown to be one of their most valuable assets.
Dolan has contributed 21 goals and 18 assists in 180 games across all competitions, 16 of which have occurred this season.
He spent time as a young player at Manchester City, Burnley, and Preston North End before moving.
They are in the bottom three, along with Portsmouth and QPR, and their next opponents fired manager Tim Walter last week. Under interim manager Andy Dawson, they suffered a 3-1 away loss against Middlesbrough on Saturday.
