Leif Davis and Sammie Szmodics, a duo from Town, were nominated for November’s Match of the Day 2 Goal of the Month award but were not selected.
Szmodics was listed for his overhead kick at Tottenham, and Davis was listed for his volley at Leicester.
Mo Salah won the award for his goal against Brighton, and Wolves’ Matheus Cunha came in second and third for two of the three goals he had nominated. Votes were cast during the show.
The shortlist also included Emerson of West Ham, Milos Kerkez of Bournemouth, and Brentford’s Yoane Wissa.
Since the return to the Premier League, the two were the first Town players to receive nominations for the prestigious trophy. Throughout the Premier League era, no Blues player has ever won.
