The Hoops manager made six changes to his lineup following Wednesday’s Champions League draw with Club Brugge.And FOUR of them came before halftime, as Celtics went ahead 5-0 to demolish the Highlanders. Replacements Liam Scales, Luke McCowan, Paulo Bernardo, and Adam Idah were all on target until Callum McGregor scored his sixth goal of the season from beyond the box.
Fortunately for the visitors, the assault subsided after halftime, with County substitute goalie Jack Hamilton making a series of outstanding stops to keep the score low. Celts were disappointed not to score more, but pleased to gain a 14-point lead against Rangers. There was never any question here.
