The January transfer window will see activity from Southampton. Russell Martin needs to improve in a few areas if he wants to keep the Saints from being relegated.
Southampton is not putting itself in a strong position to stay in the Premier League. They are now at the bottom of the Premier League standings and haven’t played well this year.
Therefore, Southampton needs to alter their productivity if they want to change their fortunes. Russell Martin would be better served collaborating with the board to make certain acquisitions during the January transfer window in order to accomplish this.
Player linked to Southampton return is happy at his current club
Returning Shea Charles from his loan stint is one option Southampton may consider. Currently on loan from Southampton, the Sheffield Wednesday midfielder has enjoyed a fantastic second season in the Championship.
At this point, Southampton is not expected to bring him back. However, manager Danny Röhl has stated that he is afraid of this reality.
Shea Charles has, however, expressed his opinions over the financing arrangement. He had nothing negative to say about his time in Sheffield, and he had, if anything, taken advantage of the chances to grow there.
Charles stated in his own words: “Every few games, a few people talk to me.” Because this is my first loan in football, I’m not really clear how it all works. It’s started so well that I don’t see any reason not to continue, thus I’m 100% (open to staying for the entire season).
It goes without saying that Southampton will not let anything stop them from their plan. They could and would definitely bring him back to the club if they so desired. Nonetheless, the Saints are thrilled to learn that their 21-year-old midfield player is having a good time while on loan.
