Police were on the scene of a collision on Thursday morning, with Morningside Road closed off for some time as officers attended to the incident.
A incident in Edinburgh caused a main road to be closed for some time, prompting emergency services to respond.
The event occurred at 1 a.m. on Thursday on Morningside Road. One neighborhood resident stated that it appeared ‘very serious’.
An photograph from the scene shows a black Citroen with its front end crushed in on the side of the road. Multiple police vehicles are seen responding to the collision.
Darren Farnkish, who was on the scene, told us: “It was extremely serious; the Citroen had all of its airbags deployed.
“The police officer I spoke with stated there were no real injuries. People were driven away in ambulances.
“There was a huge crash, and the road was closed. “The black Citroen was totally off.”Looking inside the car, you could see all of the airbags that had deployed.”
Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have both been contacted for comment.
