BBC Sports Ante Crnac buoyant after huge week for him and Norwich City.
Ante Crnac was buoyed by a fantastic week of growth for both himself and Norwich City, which included back-to-back Championship victories.
The Croatian junior international scored twice and set up Emiliano Marcondes in City’s 4-2 victory against Luton Town at Carrow Road on Saturday, responding to criticism with a string of excellent performances.
After a hard afternoon leading City’s attack in their draw against West Brom, manager Johannes Hoff Thorup urged him to improve his performance, and he responded with a goal against Plymouth Argyle.
Crnac has filled the vacuum left by talismanic striker Josh Sargent. He revealed that three goals in two vital wins for the Canaries has increased his confidence levels after a rocky start in Norfolk following a big-money move from Polish side Rakow Czestochowa.
“This week was really important for me. Crnac reminisced on City’s victory over the Hatters: “I always had confidence, and I knew that if I worked hard in training, it would come.”
“My confidence improves, but just from match to match. I just need to focus, stay working in training, and strive to improve with each game.
“It’s been an excellent week for the squad. We have played excellent football, and it has shown in the games. We are a squad that understands what it is capable of and how to score many goals, even when we make mistakes. We are all here to support and aid each other.”
Crnac, on a hat-trick, turned Luton defender Mark McGuinness and had the option to shoot, but instead elected to set up Emiliano Marcondes, resulting in City’s crucial third goal.
