“Uncertainty around Tom Cannon” – Pundit urges Stoke City to beat Rangers FC to Leeds United man

Since taking over for Steven Schumacher in September, Stoke has improved under the guidance of Narcis Pelach, who has only lost three of his 12 league games as manager. The Potters have won all five of their previous games, but three of those games have finished in a draw because they are still having trouble turning some of those draws into victories.
However, Cannon, who has scored seven goals in 13 Championship games since the Spaniard’s hiring, is the true bright spot of the Pelach period so far. The youthful striker was acquired by Stoke on loan from Leicester in the summer, but he might return to the King Power Stadium too soon in what would be

The Yorkshire Evening Post claims that because Gelhardt is still unpopular at Elland Road, he is the target of high loan interest ahead of the January window.

After being rejected by Leeds in the summer, the Potters are reportedly still interested in pursuing a January loan deal, along with Rangers, Plymouth, Preston North End, and two unnamed Belgian teams. Gelhardt is reportedly excited about the possibility of securing a temporary move away from West Yorkshire.

Tom Cannon’s Stoke City situation amid Leicester City recall threat

Leicester has the ability to prematurely recall Cannon from his loan term in Staffordshire, which they are apparently bent on doing in order to clinch a loan-to-buy deal with another club, according to a prior revelation from Alan Nixon of The Sun via his private Patreon service.

According to reports, Leicester wants to raise £10 million to sign Cannon, which would be a return on the £7 million they reportedly spent on Everton in the summer of 2023.

The Republic of Ireland international played a small part in Leicester’s championship-winning promotion campaign the previous season before former manager Steve Cooper, who was fired and is expected to be replaced by Ruud Van Nistelrooy, decided he was surplus to requirements and made available for loan.

Although Leicester’s recall option will always leave Stoke sweating, they would be well to keep replacements in mind. That does, admittedly, create some doubt over his situation, and it’s likely that the Dutchman will spend time running the rule over Cannon.

In light of Tom Cannon’s uncertainties, Carlton Palmer advises Stoke City to recruit Joe Gelhardt of Leeds United.

Palmer has urged Stoke to finalise a deal for Gelhardt, who is expected to leave Leeds on loan in January and would be a like-for-like replacement for the Irishman, given the current uncertainty surrounding Cannon’s future.

Palmer exclusively told Football League World, “Stoke City has also registered an interest in Leeds United’s Joe Gelhardt.”

“He has a very bright future ahead of him, therefore it seems inevitable that he will be leaving the club in January. I don’t see it on a permanent move, though. Although he is a gifted player, he hasn’t played much this season; I’m not sure if that’s because Daniel Farke doesn’t think highly of him.

“Stoke may want to bring in someone else because of the uncertainty surrounding Tom Cannon, as Leicester City has stated that they may recall and sell him. You never know, though, as the new manager Van Nistelrooy may want him back.

Leeds will most likely try to get him out on loan; unless it’s extremely expensive, I don’t think they’ll consider a permanent deal. That would be

Stoke poses no threat to Leeds, and they will let him move anywhere he can further his career rather than where he could cause them trouble and score goals.

“So we’ll have to wait and see on that one because there are a host of clubs in for Gelhardt and there should be, he’s a very talented young player.”
