On November 30, 1292, John Balliol was anointed King of Scotland at Scone.

Sir Andrew Murray defeats Edward Balliol’s army, led by David de Strathbogie, at the Battle of Culblean near Ballater on November 30, 1335.

30 November 1872: Scotland and England play the world’s first football international, which ends in a 0-0 draw.

John Maclean, a revolutionary socialist politician who was a key figure in the Red Clydeside movement, died on November 30, 1923.

On November 30, 1996, the Conservative Government, led by John Major and Secretary of State for Scotland Michael Forsyth, returns the Stone of Destiny from Westminster Abbey to Edinburgh Castle, where it is displayed beside the Scottish Honours.
