On Friday, a fire that started on Thanksgiving Day was still burning near the Riverside/San Bernardino county boundary near Jurupa Valley.
All evacuation advisories have been rescinded in Jurupa Valley, and the care and welcome centre has been closed.

All evacuation warnings have been lifted in Jurupa Valley, and the care and reception center has now closed.
What we know so far
The Canyon Crest Fire was 254 acres and 15% contained as of Friday afternoon. According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the fire began at 5:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day at Canyon Crest Drive and Weeping Willow Lane in Fontana and quickly spread to Jurupa Valley. CalFire reported that no structures have been destroyed or damaged.
A significant number of fire engines, workers, bulldozers, and water-dropping helicopters helped fight the fire yesterday. They worked on containment all night in tough easterly gusts, according to CalFire and the Riverside County Fire Department. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
