With their seventh consecutive loss in Week 12, the Las Vegas Raiders have moved closer to a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Raiders can’t purchase a win. Their last victory came in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns. Since then, the Raiders have made offensive changes, including quarterbacks and coaches.
As the Raiders continue to lose, an increasing number of individuals are questioning whether they are tanking. The Raiders plan to select their franchise quarterback in next year’s draft. The Raiders’ greatest chance for a top pick is to lose their next six games of the season.
When asked about the Raiders tanking for a better pick, the franchise’s face, star defensive end Maxx Crosby, was not pleased.
“You see what I mean; if we are not playing to win, what are we doing? You understand what I mean. “I don’t play to get a better pick,” Crosby remarked.
“It doesn’t even register in my brain, you know. I go out there to win. I know these men want to win. And we have terrific players in our locker room who put everything into it. So we’re just going to stick together and keep trying to find ways to win.”
The Raiders have shown week after week that they are trying to win but the injuries have been hard to overcome all season long.
“Not at all.” You see us soaring about. We’re having so much fun. And there’s nothing else you can do, you understand. You train all year for this opportunity to play 17 guaranteed games. Regardless of whether you won or lost each game. Every day is a new opportunity to improve, and I believe the men in the locker room have the proper approach. You peek in there and stroll in tomorrow morning, and everyone will be working out… I never doubted the players or their mindset in that locker room. Every day, guys come to work with the goal of improving.
