What can Celtic fans expect from Champions League opponents Club Brugge?

With great optimism, Club Brugge will go to Glasgow on Wednesday night to play Celtic. The reigning Belgian

champions are coming off a 7-0 thumping of Sint Truiden at home heading into a crucial Champions League match.

On Saturday afternoon, Christos Tzolis, a Greek international, scored four goals to increase his season-eight total.

The former Norwich player, who scored 24 goals in 37 games the previous season, joined the team in the summer

from Fortuna Düsseldorf, a Bundesliga 2 team.

With a well-earned 1-0 victory over Aston Villa, who had been undefeated in the competition thus far, the club also

won their most recent European match. The team is only one point behind Celtic, who have won two of their first

four games, drawn one, and lost one. This matchup will probably be crucial for both teams to advance to the next

round.

Celtic will need to watch players like Hans Vanaken, Tzolis, and Maxim De Cuyper. All three have been playing

excellently this season, and Vanaken has already surpassed the totals from the previous campaign. The seasoned

midfielder has six goals and five assists in 21 games. He has scored ten goals or more every season since 2010–2011.

Alongside the seasoned Brandon Mechele, youthful players Joel Ordonez and Joaquin Seys have also shown promise

at the back. Simon Mignolet, who has preserved five clean sheets in the league this season, including two in Europe,

will be in goal. With matches against Manchester City, Juventus, and Sporting CP coming up, this matchup with

Celtic represents the club’s greatest chance to get three points.
