November was a remarkable month for the Southampton women’s squad. They participated in four games during the calendar month and won all of them. They drew the other two and won two.
The Saints most recently defeated Portsmouth, a nearby rival, 4-0. It’s safe to say Southampton had a fantastic day out, especially considering they played away from home and made a lot of rotations at halftime.
Now, it will be December before the Saints women’s team plays again. Remi Allen and colleagues get a brief respite, which is ideal for introspection.
See the Southampton player who is a nominee for Goal of the Month
At the beginning of the month, Aimee Palmer scored a fantastic goal against Durham Women FC. Aimee Palmer had a fantastic solo performance and scored a spectacular goal from the edge of the box, but the game ended 1-1.
Aimee Palmer scooped up the ball on the edge of the box and lofted a fantastic shot over the goalie, into the net at the far post, following some deft interplay from Rachel Rowe and Chloe Peplow.
Palmer’s goal versus Durham is one of four goals that are nominated for Women’s Championship Goal of the Month. She has competition from Isobel Goodwin, Maria Farrugia, Michaela Foster, and Katie Kitching.
Thanks to the Barclay’s Women Championship, supporters may view all of the nominated goals and cast their votes for the champion. There are some amazing goals on display, so we’ll let you decide for yourself.
