Ardon Jashari was connected with Celtic before joining Clube Brugge, and now wants to silence the Hoops fans.
Club Brugge aims to silence Celtic fans and deliver a memorable Champions League night in Glasgow.
That’s what midfielder Ardon Jashari has said before of the crucial match at Parkhead on Wednesday night. The Hoops will face the Belgians, both of whom are coming off massive wins over the weekend. Celtic won 4-1 against Hearts in the Premiership, while Club Brugge defeated Sint-Truidense 7-0 in their division.
Jashari, who was linked with Celtic in the summer of 2023 but finally joined Brugge for £6 million from home club Luzern, believes they will not be scared by the Parkhead crowd on a Champions League night under the lights. He stated, “There were no celebrations following the weekend win because we have a difficult away match against Celtic on Wednesday.” And we know how strong the Scots can be at home.
“It is up to us to silence their supporters. I think we performed well, and it was an excellent way to prepare for such a crucial match.
“The most significant thing for us was that it demonstrated how well we could recover from a poor loss at Beerschot in our last game. We needed to react, and we did.
“Now we need to show that we can perform at the same level in Glasgow. A win at Celtic would be a significant step towards the next round.”
