West Ham United have included Middlesbrough’s Emmanuel Latte Lath in their list for the winter market.
That is according to writer Gianluca Di Marzio, who claims a West Ham scout was present to watch the striker play against Oxford United this weekend.
The Italian shone for Middlesbrough, scoring a hat-trick and providing an assist in a 6-2 smashing victory over Oxford United.
Emmanuel Latte Lath allegedly wowed West Ham officials, who watched him play live at the Kassam Stadium. According to Di Marzio, the Premier League club has selected the 24-year-old as one of their January targets for attacking improvements.
He progressed through Atalanta’s junior system but was unable to establish himself in the senior team. After many loan spells, the forward left the Serie A club permanently for Middlesbrough in August 2023.
Emmanuel Latte Lath scored 18 goals and added an assist for Michael Carrick’s team last season, and he has seven goals and two assists in 16 league games this season.
His agent, Matthias Veneroso, was open to moving him to a top league in the summer, but no trade materialized.
According to the writer, Emmanuel Latte Lath is experiencing “unstoppable growth” and appears to be “ready to take flight towards more important stages,” implying that he is ready for a move to a major club such as the Premier club.
West Ham are now following the Middlesbrough star and may make a decision in January.
