A six-vehicle collision on Highway 400 in Innisfil on Friday night claimed one life.
The initial crash occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m., according to police, as a result of a road rage incident involving two automobiles in the southbound lanes of Highway 400 near Highway 89.
A pick-up truck in the northbound lanes struck one of the cars after it crossed the centre median and rolled over.
According to police, the driver of that car, a Mississauga resident, age 21, was declared deceased at the scene. Due to minor injuries, the pick-up truck driver was transported to the hospital.
In Cookstown, the route was closed between route 89 and County Road 88. Around four in the morning on Saturday, all lanes were reopened.
There are currently no charges against anyone, however an investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are appealing for anyone with footage of the incident to contact police.
