The midfielder went down clutching his knee in the first-half under no challenge and was forced off at half-time. Now, it seems a significant blow has been dealt regarding the key youngster.
According to The Star, the Sheffield United prospect underwent knee surgery over the international break and there are real doubts over whether he will be fit in time to play again this season.
At the very least, Arblaster is expected to be out for the long-term. Wilder is due to speak to the press ahead of this weekend’s game against Coventry City, so a further update may not be far away.
It presents a huge blow for Sheffield United, with Arblaster regularly captaining the side this season and playing a crucial role in their impressive midfield.
