The young goalie, who was bound by a long-term contract at Ibrox, has been praised for his talent by the host of the Four Lads Had a Dream blog and podcast.
The club declared on June 26, 2024, that the adolescent had signed a contract committing him to the team through 2028.
Rangers must make Mason Munn feel like a part of the first team
The timing is right for the Gers to show their belief in Munn by giving him a bigger role in the starting lineup.
It’s obvious the club believes the young Northern Irishman has a lot of promise because he signed a four-year contract at the age of 18.
Rangers should think about including him in regular first-team training sessions to develop this talent. This would allow him to be coached and taught by Jack Butland, who is not only a skilled goalie but also an admirable leader.
Additionally, Munn would gain significant experience if he were given backup positions in less important games, such as cup games or when the club has guaranteed a berth in the next round.
In addition to helping him grow, this tactic would let Munn know that he is a part of the long-term strategy to eventually become the best goalie.
Although the Gers have a great academy, it’s crucial to keep such talent.
In other Rangers news, the departure of a player linked to Ibrox at the right price has been confirmed.
