Hunt for ‘person responsible’

Senior Investigating Officer Matt Hollingsworth, of Cleveland Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET), stated:

While we do lengthy investigations, I am interested in hearing from anyone who was in the neighborhood at the time of the incident and either witnessed what happened or has information.

I would also like to encourage anyone with information, CCTV, or dash cam footage to contact us.

I appreciate that the local community may be concerned, and I would like to use this opportunity to reassure locals that we will be working around the clock to identify and detain the person responsible.

There will be a heightened police presence with patrols in the area for your reassurance, and I encourage anyone with concerns to talk with an officer.
