This season, Martin has led the Saints back to the Premier League, and their main objective is to survive.
However, Southampton is struggling in that area, lying at the bottom with just four points from eleven games.
Martin acknowledged that the hectic schedule during the holiday season is his favourite and expressed relief that the international break is now over.
“I adore the routine and the intensity of the holiday season. “We have a fantastic month ahead of us,” Martin said at a press conference.
“Thank goodness we can get some momentum now that the international breaks are over.”
Despite being aware of Arne Slot’s team, Martin stated that he is not scared to play against Liverpool when they visit Southampton this weekend.
“You can discuss how difficult it is to overcome the opposition, but this is what we have worked so hard to achieve.
“I am thrilled to be playing for the nation’s top team right now.”
Saints will need to be at their best to get a result against top-of-the-table Liverpool this Sunday at St. Mary’s.
