Sky Sports Rangers can now prepare Lawrence Shankland bid after new twist.
Rangers can prepare a January transfer bid for Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland, who is nearing the end of his contract at Tynecastle.
It was reported on November 19 that the SPFL club is willing to let the Scotland international leave on a free transfer. However, if they had the opportunity to profit from his departure, they would undoubtedly consider it.
Lawrence Shankland has been on the radar of Rangers for a while
The 29-year-old was in high demand last summer, with Gers particularly interested in his services. [HITC] They appeared to pursue his services vigorously, but were unable to lure the striker to Ibrox. Instead, they opted with Hamza Igamane, who is still adjusting to life in a new nation after joining AS FAR.
If Gers retain an interest in Shankland, with Hearts preparing for his exit, they may accept a low-ball offer in the January transfer window.
Lawrence Shankland failed this season, but would still be a valuable signing for Rangers.
Shankland has struggled this season, scoring just once in 13 games, after scoring 24 league goals in the previous two seasons. Perhaps a change of scenery would help him and benefit the Gers, who have suffered this season.
