Lorenzo Greer, a YouTube sensation who once rubbed shoulders with Cristiano Ronaldo, has landed a scholarship at Birmingham City.
The talented teenager has revealed that he has been given a scholarship at Blues having been in the club’s academy for a decade.
Under the moniker “Tekkers Kid,” Greer has amassed about 500 million YouTube views and 830,000 Instagram followers during his tenure with the club’s youth setup.Greer revealed that he had received a scholarship on Instagram.
“I’ve been a scholar for ten years now! Following a training session, Greer shared a photo of himself dressed in Blues gear along with the caption, “On to the next, let’s get this pro.”
Greer became well-known through a number of skill videos, and in one Instagram story, she was shown with five-
time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo. In addition, he has been photographed with Bruno Fernandes and appeared in
acommercial with Tammy Abraham and Raheem Sterling.
The under-16 star recently switched to full-back after beginning his career in midfield. In one of his most recent
YouTube videos, Greer stated, “I can play as a full-back because I’m a midfielder but I’m good at defending.”
“I play as a full-back primarily because I can get up the pitch, defend, and know how to position myself.” In fact,
things have been going extremely nicely. My dad told me that I could attack and be in their penalty box, among other
things, but at first I didn’t really want to play full-back since it sounded extremely defensive and I didn’t think I could
attack. In essence, you are a second winger.
