Former Raiders cornerback Eric Allen and guard Steve Wisniewski are one step closer to Canton, Ohio. The Pro Football Hall of Fame has reached the semifinalist stage for the Class of 2025, reducing the number of applicants from 167 to 25. Of the 25, two have worn the Silver and Black. Eric Allen, who is currently a Raiders TV analyst, appeared in 58 regular-season games, 56 of which he started, as well as four postseason games, and recorded 15 interceptions, three of which he recovered for touchdowns.
The six-time Pro Bowler had 54 interceptions over his 14-year NFL career. Allen has made it to the Hall of Fame semifinals five times.
During his 13-year career with the Raiders, Steve Wisniewski started 206 regular season games and nine postseason games. He was a two-time First-Team All-Pro, eight-time Pro Bowler, and a member of the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team.
This is his second time being named a semifinalist for the Hall of Fame. The Modern-Era Players category will be reduced to 15 finalists in late December, with the Class of 2025 to be announced at NFL H.
