CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ala. (WBMA) — A Gadsden woman and a one-year-old were killed in a single vehicle crash in Cherokee County Tuesday.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said a 3-year-old was also injured in the crash.

ALEA said 46-year-old Brandi D. Odell and the one-year-old were fatally injured when the 2012 Nissan Murano they were in left the roadway and struck a tree. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened around 8:15 a.m. on U.S. 411 near Pine Cone Road, about one mile south of Leesburg.
