A large fire swept through a Portsmouth home on Tuesday night. Flames could be seen erupting from the Sea Spray Drive home, which had burned down to the frame.
Assistant Fire Chief Howie Tighe told 12 News that the house was under construction and no one was inside at the time.
Tighe stated that the fires spread to two neighbouring homes, both of which suffered moderate heat damage.
There were no injuries recorded. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
Tighe stated that the home has been declared a total loss.
