Two brothers stabbed to death in Bronx across street from fatal February beatdown
Two hard-working brothers enjoying a rare night on the town were fatally stabbed on a troubled Bronx street, leaving their family devastated.
Hector and Leider Guevara Cubas, 24 and 27, were at a party with their mom’s cousin on Stratford Ave. near Westchester Ave. in Soundview early Saturday when their relative decided to go home. But the brothers opted to extend the night and head to a second party down the block.
At about 4:50 a.m., the brothers got into an altercation with a group of men outside the second party location that ended up with both siblings stabbed, according to police. Hector was knifed in the abdomen and Leider was stabbed in the chest, cops and the slain brothers’ family said.
