‘I’ve Got To Say’ – Former Rangers Star Gives Negative Verdict On Gers’ Summer Arrival.
Gordon Dalziel, a former Rangers player, has stated that he does not like Robin Propper, who was only acquired by Philippe Clement, the manager of the Gers, during the summer transfer window.
For an estimated £1.5 million, Rangers acquired the Dutch defender from FC Twente to take Connor Goldson’s spot when Goldson joined Cypriot team Aris Limassol.
The 30-year-old has played for Clement’s club in two League Cup games, three Europa League games, and seven Scottish Premiership games.
However, Propper has battled to establish a consistent position in the squad and has failed to win over certain Rangers supporters.
Dalziel, a former forward with the Rangers, does not think much of Propper.
On the Superscoreboard for Clyde 1, Dalziel stated, “I’ve never really been a big fan of Propper.”
“I must admit that I have never been excited by him.”
Dalziel thinks it’s time to remove the right-back from the firing line after Rangers captain James Tavernier has also come under fire from supporters.
“I don’t believe Tavernier will perform tonight.
“I believe it’s time for Tavernier to miss a game or two.”
Rangers will try to pick up three points when they play Greek powerhouse Olympiacos in the Europa League on Thursday in Athens.
