ROYAL BRITISH LEGION’S FOOTBALL POPPY SHIRT CAMPAIGN TO LAUNCH AT WATFORD KICK OFF
When Swansea City plays Watford on November 5 at 8 p.m., the match jersey auction in support of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal will begin.
Swansea City players will wear poppy-themed shirts during the forthcoming match against Watford as a show of respect. The players that wore these one-of-a-kind shirts will then sign them and make them available for purchase at auction, only on the MatchWornShirt website and app. The Royal British Legion will get all of the auctions’ net revenues.
The auction will run from kick-off up until 3pm on Saturday, November 23.
After raising around £3 million for the Poppy Appeal in the past, MatchWornShirt has partnered with the Royal British Legion for the sixth year in a row. Every year, the Royal British Legion leads the country in Remembrance across the United Kingdom to remember the contributions of our Armed Forces community, both past and present. The RBL’s Poppy Appeal runs from Thursday, October 24, to Remembrance Sunday, November 10.
Visit MatchWornShirt’s website and participate in one of the numerous auctions for this year’s Poppy Appeal below to support the Royal British Legion’s ongoing important work.
